      Review summary: Good quality and with a proper li-ion battery, but expensive and bulky compared to the Olympus.

      Verdict: At $640, the Panasonic doesn't quite encroach on DSLR territory, but if you want a camera with SLR-like handling and control it's worth spending the extra on Canon's 400d or Nikon's D40x. Of course, the FZ50 wins out for its bigger zoom and ability to sho

      Review summary: It's currently the best bridge being the fastest, less subject to noise, most precise, and the most practical with its moveable screen and zoom ring dial. The only thing it lacks is a true wide angle.

      Pros: Excellent zoom control, Excellent manual control, Very responsive, Edge-to-edge sharpness, Great colors, Tilt-n'-swivel screen, Tight build quality, Cheap street price

      Cons: Noise reduction affects images at higher ISOs, Bigger screen would be more appreciated

      Pros: Excellent feature set. Zoom and focus ring. Includes a hot shoe. Has optical image stabilization. Supports RAW format.

      Cons: Big. Pricey. Smallish LCD. Needs better burst mode. No TIFF format support.

      Verdict: An excellent camera for those who want D-SLR-like quality and performance. It can also shoot video in both standard and 16:9 format at 30 fps.
