      Pros: Wide angle shooting, Smooth design, Funky accessories, Sharp pictures

      Cons: Some noise problems, Expensive

      Verdict: Ricoh's Caplio GX100 is a high end camera for experienced users. While average photographers may not fully appreciate the wide angle shooting and extremely crisp shots it produces, there is no doubt it's a great camera if you can afford it.

      Review summary: It's a small and tough package, with a rubberised grip on the right-hand side and precise, almost military-looking controls

      Pros: Flexible, with a host of manual controls, Very well built, with a great lens

      Cons: Sluggish lens operation, Expensive
