Verdict: Except for high noise levels (which can be reduced by sticking to lower ISOs), the image quality is impressive. The features list is long and includes usable functions, so it may appear that Canon has a winner on its hands. Well, almost. The RRP of £179

Verdict: The A720 IS comes from a long line of successful cameras and, while it is hardly the most exciting upgrade we've ever seen, it does nothing to detract from a popular and successful recipe.
