Review summary: : This 10 megapixel digital SLR is built around the four-thirds sensor used by Olympus and Panasonic/Leica. It is the smallest and probably the lightest DSLR on the market, but it is not flimsy. It has one of the best implementations of so-called live vie
Pros: : The picture quality is very good and the full feature list is truly impressive. Other makers tend to leave functions out in order to distance the entry level cameras from their posher units - Olympus doesn't do that. The live view arrangement is almost
Cons: : The aspect ratio of a Four Thirds sensor is 4:3. The aspect ratio of a standard or A4 photo print is 3:2. So composing in the viewfinder will be a hit and miss affair and pixels are thrown away.
Verdict: : This camera has been created to make the transition from compact to DSLR as easy as possible. If you really like holding a camera at arm's length (a ridiculous posture) to take photos rather than sensibly bracing it against your face then the E-420 lets

Pros: Small and lightweight, Easy-to-use, Great noise control, Uses FourThirds standard
Cons: Lack of a grip
Verdict: For the beginner in photography, the Olympus E-420 is a very capable camera that will accept some extremely good lenses made by Olympus, Leica and Sigma as the FourThirds system is used by a number of companies allowing you to interchange between them

Pros: Robust build; High quality technology; Comfortable and easy to use; Great value; Impressive colours
Cons: No image stabilisation
Verdict: At its heart, the E-410 has a Four-Thirds NMOS image sensor with an increased dynamic range with about an extra stop or so over the E-410. The colours are superb with skin tones, landscapes and blue skies rendering well in JPEG. Auto white balance has bee

Review summary: The Olympus E-420 DSLR camera follows the recent trend of updating an existing design with a smattering of new features. Successor to the E-410, the new E420 model takes over the mantle as the World's most compact DSLR, weighing less than 400g and easily
Verdict: From close examination of the Olympus E-420 it's fair to say that owners of the previous E-410 have little to feel threatened by. Doppelganger control layout aside, operationally too the E-420 delivers a performance that's nigh on identical, though if we'
