    when buying a 42inch plasma screen from currys i decided to put the finance in my name as i held the t.v liscence in our home, we did the 1year interest free option, after a few weeks of having the tele we get a letter in the post for my husband saying that as he bought a tv from currys with no liscence we were going to be taken to court and ordered to pay a fine!!!     got 42 plasma from shop at rotherham only got used at weekend`s when i come home 53 weeks later had a falt got sound no pic phoned currys got no help phoned techguys
    it will cost over £400 pound`s to fix i only paid £ 800 for it. had 2 years man-warranty with it got paper-work
    currys said 12 months only so after 10 month`s of calls letters . i got noware

    A number of the reviews relate to Curry's appalling customer service and returns policy. I tried to return a camera that broke within a month of purchase and they refused to accept the return.     I can honestly say I have never received poorer customer service anywhere than today at Currys.digital

    I went into the store looking to spend upwards of £300 on a Camcorder AND warranty only to be met with the most unhelpful sales assistant and equally unhelpful sales manager ever.

    I recently purchased a Hotpoint washing machine and a week later a Zanussi cooker from Currys on line thease were delivered from their Southampton depot.Ordering on line was easy and the products were delivered within a few days on the dates I selected when ordering.     BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Bought an LCD 42" t.v only lasted 6 months. You can't exchange at the store. Waited week for engineer to tell me what i already know, "ITS BROKE" goto wait now for collection to repair it. Rude, unhelpfull and time wasting about sums up thier customer service.

    "Dear User,

    Well with regards to branch exchanges on TVs of any sort no retailer will do that for yourself. Currys John Lewis Fenwicks Selfridges Sony Centre Indenpendents Stores Tesco Sainsburys Morrisons Asda Harrods as the item is over 6 months old and has to be inspected by an engineer normally from the manufactuerer of the product. If then they redeem the item un-repairable they may sansaction a gift voucher to yourself for a new TV or send you out a new TV through DHL to your front door.

    So dont assume that any shop will exchange things as your own personal request they will not they have to follow guidelines from the manufactuerer.
