      Review summary: A compact digital camera with an even skinnier price tag - so what's the catch?

      Pros: Slim, compact design, great value for money, excellent Macro shots

      Cons: Images are noisy especially at ISO 400, slow start up time, basic feature set

      Verdict: A good balance of features for the price range and as one of the cheapest cameras in the 5 megapixel bracket, the BenQ E520+ makes for a good choice.

      Review summary: The slim E520+ is a good-looking piece of kit, and it's a dream to use, needing only a single click to move between camera modes.

      Review summary: Getting down to business, the BenQ is a far better snapper than the Genius. The E520's shots simply looked better in that they were sharper and boasted better colours. We didn't notice any exposure problems either on the auto setting and that's good ...

      Verdict: If you can make do with its somewhat unpolished software interface, the BenQ DC E520 is actually a quality snapper at its core.
