350D

Pros: Can use lens from my old ESO500, good soft ware, good pictures,
Cons: Easy to lose lens cap. No video capability

I waited a long time to go digital and have recently bought the 350D to replace EOS500 ( ordinary film type), once the price had dropped.

Gives clear pictures, takes many pictures in quick succession. With a 4MB memory card I am taking many pictures that are easily reviewed and edited.

When editing easy to zoom in without loss of definition.

Battery easily recharged. Easy to download on to TV or Computer.

Good carrying case with useful strapes.

Easy to replace lenses.
