Turns a beginner into David Bailey

Canon EOS 400D By gary fearn (16/08/2007)
    • Pros: Ease of use, quality shots, versatility
    • Cons: none

My last camera was an EOS 3 and I can't believe the quality you get for the price with this camera. It is so easy to use that you will be taking superb shots within ten minutes.
In fact it is so simple that my inexperienced 11 yr old son takes great pictuures with it.
If you want top quality and ease of use look no further.
I highly recommend this camera, just do it justice and fit a good lens... Read Full Review »

    Excellent Camera

Canon EOS 400D By Graham Markham (23/05/2007)
    • Pros: Great improvement on the 350d
    • Cons: Still possibly the hand grip would not favour those with large hands.

Upgraded from the 350d, excellent photo's I can see far more detail going from 8mp to 10mp. The 2.5" veiwing screen is great, plus the new menu controls better than 350d. I do all my own printing and as a printer myself I know what to look for in photo reproduction. Read Full Review »

    Best Camera I've Ever Had

Canon EOS 400D By Anonymous (18/05/2007)
    • Pros: Picture quality and view screensize
    • Cons: Find the controls a bit fiddly when using Av and Tv modes

Started with a 350D after many years of Pentax manuals as wasn't so impressd with the Pentax digital. Found the data screen and view screen not particularly good. Loooked at a 400D and WOW! not only sorted my view problem, but the whole camera just performs so fantastically. So I bought one. Read Full Review »

    Why the cheap lens?

    Canon EOS 400D By T D (27/04/2007)
    • Pros: Camera, software and instruction manual excellent
    • Cons: 18-55 mm lens is pretty naff.

Why not invest a bit more in the optics and provide a kit lens to match the quality of the camera? Users would be happy to pay a bit more. After all, the camera itself is competitively priced. The soft lens has taken the shine off my enjoyment of the camera. Read Full Review »
