      Canon PowerShot A460

      By James Murray

Review summary: The 5-megapixel Canon PowerShot A460 succeeds the A430 with a marginally larger LCD screen and CCD size. Its 2.0-inch LCD screen has a paltry 86,000 pixels, an in-camera flash, and a 4x optical zoom lens. It comes equipped with a full auto mode, a ...

Pros: - Software is easy to use - Manual control options - Excellent white balance accuracy (auto and presets) - Well-designed locking mechanism on battery/memory card cover - In-camera digital effects via the My Colors mode - Sturdy and well-built

Cons: - Low resolution and slowly refreshing LCD monitor - Poor movie mode - Undersized and inaccurate viewfinder - Zoom is adjusted via the up and down arrows of the four-way control - Overall size limits portability for the on-the-go snapshot ...

      Canon PowerShot A460

      By WDC Team

Review summary: If you are looking for a no-nonsense camera that's easy to use, then Canon's A460 may well be the camera for you...

Pros: Image quality, Optical viewfinder, Ease of use

Cons: Low-res LCD, Lack of wideangle, Max ISO 400

Verdict: When buying one of the cameras you need to bear in mind that they are the manufacturers' entry-level models and they will lack certain features available on cameras with a higher price. Having said that, it offers a good range of options for the price.
