      Canon Powershot A470

      Review summary: The Canon Powershot A470 is one of the very best entry level digital cameras you can buy. It has 7 megapixels and a 3.4x optical zoom lens. It is available in a choice of colours and its picture quality is outstanding.

      Pros: Overall picture quality - sharpness of photos - value for money

      Cons: Shutter lag with flash

      Verdict: When you take the price into account this is an excellent camera. When it comes to picture quality it outperforms many more expensive cameras. Well worth adding to your shortlist.
