      Canon PowerShot A480 review

      By Roman Loyola

Review summary: The Canon PowerShot A480 is designed for people who want to shoot pictures without fussing over camera settings. It's a dead-simple, reasonably stylish point-and-shoot camera to have on hand when you're hanging out with friends and family.

Verdict: If you're a tripod-shooter, a steady-handed photographer, or just want a bargain-bin camera with good image quality, the Canon PowerShot A480 is worth a look. Its lack of image stabilisation and some modes, however, may cause action photographers to ...

Review: Canon PowerShot A480 digital camera

      By Roman Loyola

Review summary: If you're a tripod-shooter, a steady-handed photographer, or just want a bargain-bin camera with good image quality, the PowerShot A480 is worth a look.

Pros: Easy to use. Very good overall image quality

Cons: Not many features. No image stabilization. Switching camera modes is slow

Verdict: Available in black, blue, red, and silver, the boxy PowerShot A480 measures 3.6 by 2.4 by 1.2 inches and weighs 7 ounces. Its lens, whose focal length ranges from 37mm to 122mm (35mm equivalent), retracts into the body when you turn off the camera. ...

      Canon Powershot A480

Review summary: The Canon Powershot A480 is an entry level digital camera. This review covers picture quality, shutter delay times and takes you through the main features of the camera.

      Pros: Picture quality

      Cons: Shutter delay with flash

Verdict: I was impressed by this camera. It takes a good photo in most situations with the minimum of fuss. Load the battery and memory card and you are ready to start taking pictures. This is a good choice for anyone who does not want to spend a fortune on a ...

A Canon camera for bargain hunters

      By Elias Plastiras

Review summary: IT is very hard to like the Canon PowerShot A480 digital camera, because it simply looks and feels awful.

Pros: Crisp and well-coloured photos considering its price

Cons: Poor viewing angles on LCD screen, awkward design, some overexposure problems, noticeable chromatic aberration

Verdict: The physical appearance and design of the PowerShot A480 aren't great, but it does have the potential to take some good-looking shots. It's perhaps one of the best point-and-shoot digital still cameras in the sub-$200 price range. Give it a go if you ...
