      Casio Exilim EX-Z1050

      By Jeff Keller

Review summary: The Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 ($269) is a compact camera featuring a 10 Megapixel CCD, 3X optical zoom, 2.6-inch "wide and bright" LCD display, and long battery life. It's the replacement to the EX-Z1000, and the little brother to the 12 Megapixel Exilim ...

Pros: Very good photo quality (though see issues below) ; Compact, stylish metal body ; Large, widescreen 2.6" LCD display ; good low light/outdoor visibility (though see issues below) ; Snappy performance ; Tons of Best Shot modes (and I mean it) ; Lots of ...

Cons: Photos and movies are on the soft side ; redeye a big problem ; Low LCD resolution ; No optical viewfinder ; Weak flash ; Tiny amount of built-in memory ; Plastic tripod mount ; can't swap memory cards while camera is on a tripod ; No USB 2.0 High ...

Verdict: The EX-Z1050 easily wins the battery life competition here, and by a very large margin. I don't know how Casio does it, but some of the other manufacturers could certainly learn from them

      Casio Exilim EX-Z1050

Review summary: The Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 Digital Camera is one of the budget Casio Digital cameras and provides a 10 megapixel sensor, a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.6 inch screen, and high ISO settings.

Pros: Excellent value for money Very easy to use Large screen shows the resulting photos with good clarity. Fast and responsive LOADS of scene positions to help ordinary people take better photos. Excellent quality images - very good colour Very good ...

Cons: Videos limited to 10 minutes long! Small on/off button Average macro mode High noise above ISO200

Verdict: The Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 is a great point and shoot camera, it fits easily into your pocket and is surprisingly small despite not necessarily being counted as an "ultra-compact" (it may as well be in my opinion). It was also fun to use and has an ...

      Casio Exilim EX-Z1050

      By Andrew Kliem

Pros: Great noise performance, Good quality images, Stylish and sturdy design

Cons: Some softness in certain parts of the picture, Slow burst mode

Verdict: A solid entry into the compact camera space, the Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 isn't the best camera we've reviewed, but the 10 megapixel sensor captures some great pictures, making it a good choice for those that want to make larger than regular size prints.
