      Casio - Exilim EX-Z1050

Review summary: Last year Casio's portable yet powerful Exilim Zoom EX-Z1000 became the world's first 10.1-megapixel compact camera, putting professional quality photography in the hands of the everyday user. The EX-Z1050 takes this a step further by making ...

Verdict: Those looking for a no-nonsense compact that doesn't compromise on quality won't go far wrong with the EX-Z1050. While not exactly packed with additional features or extras it's one of the best point and shoot portables around today and for the price ...

Review summary: Casio's new ultra-compact has been at the pies.

Verdict: The Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 demonstrates that it is possible to make a good 10MP compact camera without suffering problems with excessive image noise or fringing. As well as that it is a well-made camera offering good handling, brisk performance, some ...

      Casio Exilim EX-Z1050

Review summary: The Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 is a pretty solid offering. This is a ten megapixel digital camera and will just about fit into a pocket. It scores well for ease of use and I found picture quality to be above average.

Pros: LCD screen - screen layout - indoor photos

      Cons: Photos could be brighter

Verdict: I liked the Casio Exilim EX-Z1050. In many ways it is a fairly typical compact digital camera. With ten megapixels there is plenty of scope for large prints or for cropping photos. The camera is easy to use and I also found it performed well in ...

Casio Show: Exilim Hi-Zoom EX-V7 and EX-Z1050 - FIRST LOOK Reviews

      By Martin Regtien

Review summary: Checking out Casio's 7x zoom (7MP) and the new 10MP digicamsToday we are having a quick look at Casio's latest high-end models, the exciting 7x zoom EX-V7 as well as one of the few 10 mega pixel cameras on the market in the digicam range. Both cameras ...

Verdict: The Casio 1050 can be seen as a minor upgrade to the 1000. The EX-Z1050 sports a 2.6-inch LCD screen and features a much faster burst mode. This can be up to seven frames per second.Image quality again is fine at the lower zoom levels but suffers at ...

      Exilim EX-Z1050

      By Neil Bennett

Review summary: The appearance of a sleek shooter that snaps 10-megapixel photos for under £200 is enough to make even the most jaded creative do a double take.

Pros: High resolution. Low price. Quick access to core settings. Versatile manual settings.

Cons: Lack of detail at full resolution. Mediocre low-light performance. Too easy to inadvertently turn on.

Verdict: The level of manual control is great for a £200 model - though it's not in the same league as full-sized compacts. Flaws aside, the Z1050 delivers most of what a designer wants from a shirt-pocket camera - it's fast and easy to use, offers good manual ...
