      By Jeff Keller

Review summary: The Casio Exilim EX-Z750 ($440) is an ultra compact camera with a 7.2 Megapixel CCD, 3X optical zoom lens, large 2.5" LCD display, high quality movie mode, and much more. For better or for worse the market is suddenly becoming crowded with small, high ...

Pros: Very good image quality (with proper adjustments) ; Ultra-compact metal body ; Large 2.5" LCD display (though see issues below) ; Robust performance ; Full manual controls (though see issue below) ; AF-assist lamp ; good low light focusing ; Excellent ...

Cons: Images are oversaturated ; a little too sharp as well ; Redeye a problem ; LCD doesn't "gain up" in low light ; screen resolution could be higher ; Flash is pretty weak, though Flash Assist helps ; USB requires use of camera dock ; Can't swap memory ...

Verdict: To charge the battery just pop the camera into the cradle and you're set -- it takes about 3 hours to fully charge the NP-40. An external battery charger is sold separately

      Casio Exilim Z750

Review summary: Is this the best sub-£300 camera you can currently buy?

Pros: Brilliant for what you get, Good price

      Cons: Looks a bit dull

Verdict: The Casio starts as it means to go on. Turn it on and it snaps into life as though it's just been booted up the rear end. Press the shutter button and you've created yet another masterpiece in the blink of an eye. If that's not enough you can make the ...

      Casio Exilim EX-Z750

Pros: Compact size, Solid build, In-camera image stabilization makes all lenses better for low light shooting, Same sensor as 7D, Kit lens covers 18-70mm 35mm equivalent range, Very good to excellent low-light capability, Excellent battery life, Decent ...

Cons: Proprietary hot shoe, No PC sync port, No video recording (a fact of life with SLRs), Hand grip may be uncomfortably small for some users, Image noise slightly high at ISO 1600, RAW+JPEG option only saves fine-mode JPEGs. (But that's not a bad choice. ...

Verdict: For composing your shots, the Casio Exilim EX-Z750 features a tiny, real-image optical viewfinder as well as a very generous 2.5-inch, TFT color LCD monitor (which takes up most of the back panel). The LCD monitor reports basic camera settings ...

Casio Exilim EX-Z750 By Anonymous (06/04/2006)
    • Pros: just about everything
    • Cons: some users have experienced lens error and screen problems

This is a fantastic camera. The video quality is excellent and limited only by the size of the memory card, unlike it's successor which has only 10 minutes recording time and the quality is dreadful!

Unfortunately it was stolen. I bougth the 850 and sent it back. Am now buying the ... Read Full Review »
