      Casio EX-F1

      By Nigel Atherton

Review summary: The 6-megapixel Casio EX-F1 bridge camera features a 12x zoom and is able to shoot 60 images per second.

Pros: Amazing speed-stopping abilities in both stills and video, good spec

Cons: Erratic focusing, pokey electronic viewfinder, average image quality, very expensive

Verdict: It is clear that the F1 was built for speed and in this area it truly excels. It's terrific fun, and enables users to get pictures that would be impossible with any other camera. The F1 will make you laugh and make you gasp in a way that no other ...

      Award: Editor's Choice!

Review summary: This innovative super-zoom camera records full HD and slow-motion movies and can shoot a whopping 60 frames per second.

Pros: Takes slow-motion video at three speeds, Highly effective burst shooting, Intuitive menu system

Cons: Slow startup, processing speeds, Can't adjust settings during high-speed shooting, Doesn't come with photo editing/management software

Verdict: Fortunately, the on-screen menus are less complicated. The settings you're most likely to adjust-ISO and white balance, for example-have corresponding icons lining the right side of the LCD. Use the Up and Down arrow keys to highlight them, and the ...

      Casio Exilim EX-F1

Review summary: The surprising Casio Exilim Pro EX-F1 is a rather good camera that shoots video in Full HD. This is a non-negligable argument for those who want to fully take advantage of their home systems. Without being the top in both categories, it's currently ...

Pros: - Amazing 60 i/s burst mode (6 Mpix), - Rather nice Full HD video, - Good ergonomics and honest photo quality, - Impressive high speed video, - Quality screen and 12x optical zoom

Cons: - Inefficient optical stabilization in video mode, - Very noticeable noise at 400 ISO, - Rather slow startup and no true wide angle, - Focus is hesitant in video and in poor lighting, - Video can't be played with the latest version of Quicktime

      Casio Exilim EX-F1 (High Speed)

      By Bryan Gardiner

Pros: Divvy up those 60 shots per second in multiple ways: 30 shots per second for two seconds, 20 for three seconds, and so on. Mini-HDMI jack makes for sexy F1/HDTV pairing. Pre-record mode means you'll capture moments you thought you had missed.

Cons: 12x zoom is slower than a three-toed sloth with an Ambien addiction. Crappy low-light performance only partially forgiven by the camera's zippy flash. No optical eyepiece so you'll have to rely on the tiny electronic viewfinder. Flash doesn't work in ...
