Fujifilm FinePix F60fd
Review summary: Can Fuji's latest compact, the FinePix F60fd measure up to its earlier models?
Pros: Body design, low-light focusing, handling
Cons: Limited dynamic range, high ISO noise
Verdict: The F60fd is a well-made, attractively styled camera with good handling and some useful features, but the limited zoom range is a handicap. Low light focusing is outstanding, but it lacks the high-ISO quality of its predecessors.

Fujifilm FinePix F60fd
Review summary: The Fujifilm FinePix F60fd is a 12 Megapixel compact with a 3x zoom lens, built-in stabilisation and a 3in screen. Announced in August 2008, it's the successor to the popular FinePix F50fd, and shares the same sensor, same lens and the same chunky ...
Pros: Control over aperture and shutter., Sensible approach to people shots., Great face detection., Auto Scene recognition., Control over aperture and shutter., Sensible approach to people shots., Great face detection., Auto Scene recognition.
Cons: Lacking true wide angle coverage., Stabilisation not as good as rivals., Screen bettered by top rivals., Lacking true wide angle coverage., Stabilisation not as good as rivals., Screen bettered by top rivals.
Verdict: It's becoming increasingly common for many new compacts to be minor updates over their predecessors, and the FinePix F60fd is a prime example. As described above, it's identical to the earlier FinePix F50fd, bar Scene Recognition, improved face ...

Fuji FinePix F60fd
Review summary: The Fujifilm FinePix F60fd is a 12-megapixel shooter that sits near the top of Fujifilm's lineup. Available for around $250 it has fallen in price a bit since its first release. The F60fd offers a range of interesting features, including face ...
Verdict: On the back of the camera you'll find a comfortably large 3-inch LCD display. To the right of the screen is a collection of controls, including a rather small mode dial and a 4-way navigation cluster. Given the tiny size of that mode dial, we were ...

REVIEW-FUJIFILM FINEPIX F60fd
Review summary: This is a 12 megapixel camera with a 35-105mm (film equivalent) zoom lens. Image stabilisation is by CCD shift and, in dual mode, ISO increase. There is face recognition and in-camera red eye removal. There are limited manual controls, but in use we ...
Pros: Image quality is generally good with some tendency to underexpose in dim light. Skin tones are fine and faithful. This is one of the better cameras for auto-white balance. We found that using the N setting we got good results under a mix of available ...
Cons: The lack of an optical viewfinder is always annoying. Sony and Canon can fit OVFs at this price point - why doesn't every manufacturer?
Verdict: We like the Fuji look, particularly for skin tones. It took some trial and error before we settled on the N setting and decided it was best to let the camera make the decisions, even if it does mean occasionally hitting ISO levels too high for clean ...

December 2008
Review : FujiFilm FinePix F60
Review summary: This is a digital camera that is easily small enough to fit in a pocket or purse but this does not mean it is lacking in features. It is a 12MP offering that has scene recognition, face detection and auto red eye removal to mention just three.
Verdict: It is 9x6x2cm and weights only 165grams. Doing a quick run round the unit mine was a rather nice matt black with silver fitments such as the Fujinon lens F=8-24mm. Above and to it's right by a minimum of 2cm is the flash. The left side is bland while ...
