      Fujifilm FinePix S5700

      Pros: Low-noise, higher-ISO photos ; broad set of manual controls ; optical zoom operates in movie mode ; runs on AA batteries

      Cons: Frustrating design ; sluggish performance ; no optical image stabilization

      Verdict: The Fujifilm FinePix S5700 would be a nice budget megazoom if it weren't hampered by mediocre performance and a frustrating design.
