Kodak EasyShare V1273 12MP Digital Camera

      By Bob Buskirk

Review summary: Small, compact digital cameras are everywhere. It is really hard to decide on the right one. It all really comes down to what you want in the camera and how much you want to spend. Today we are looking at another compact digital camera from Kodak, the ...

Pros: Small and compact ; Easy to use ; Can shoot in 4:3 and 16:10 modes ; Shoots HD video (720p) ; Touchscreen

Cons: Sometimes is slow to turn on ; Touchscreen not that responsive ; No stylus included

      Kodak Easyshare Z1015 IS

      By Andrew Kliem

Pros: Big 15x optical zoom with 28mm wide-angle focal length, sharp images, very minimal shutter lag

Cons: Colour balance quite off, very sluggish start-up, controls a little fiddly

Verdict: Kodak's Easyshare Z1015 IS is a fine ultra-zoom camera for users looking to upgrade. It has some image quality issues and takes a while to start up but its overall performance was pleasing.

Verdict: The LCD on the review camera was one of the worst we've seen, largely because the views it provided were flat-looking and slightly unsharp. This monitor was difficult to use in bright lighting because the on-screen icons are very small and the user ...

      Kodak Easyshare V1073

      By PJ Jacobowitz

Review summary: The Kodak EasyShare V1073 ($229.95 direct) is cursed with an unexciting design and a touch-screen user interface that's more confusing than it is convenient. This 10-megapixel shooter more than makes up for its dull aesthetics, though, with snappy ...

Pros: Takes very good indoor and outdoor still images. Can capture HD video (1,280-by-720 at 30 fps). Relatively low noise in high ISO shots

Cons: Dull design. 3-inch touch screen is very dim. Not all controls are touch-screen-based. Poor battery performance. No HDMI-out for video playback

Verdict: The V1073 sports an uninspired design and a convoluted menu system. Fortunately its pleasing color values and high-definition video-capture abilities help make up for it.
