      Kodak EasyShare V1073

Review summary: Vivid colors and high-definition video capture help make up for boring design and a convoluted menu system in this EasyShare camera.

Pros: Takes very good indoor and outdoor still images. Can capture HD video (1,280-by-720 at 30 fps). Relatively low noise in high ISO shots.

Cons: Dull design. 3-inch touch screen is very dim. Not all controls are touch-screen-based. Poor battery performance. No HDMI-out for video playback.

      Kodak EasyShare V1273 Review

      By David Rasnake

Review summary: Kodak's visually smart, touch-interface equipped EasyShare V1273 has the looks down. Does it have the performance and image quality to match?

Pros: Award worthy styling, build quality ; Vibrant images at lower ISOs ; Shooting speed rarely a problem ; Touch interface is carefully thought out

Cons: Screen is weak and hard to see ; Power-up cycle takes forever ; Full-res ISO 3200 not very useful ; Get used to those "Insufficient Battery" warnings

Verdict: If you've come to associate Kodak with the often mundane compact cameras that the company churns out on a regular basis, be prepared to be surprised: the V1273 is a high-end camera with impressive build quality and one of the most polished touch ...

      Kodak EasyShare M1073 IS

      By Rich Trenholm

Review summary: The Kodak EasyShare M1073 IS is a 10.2-megapixel point-and-shoot. While we've seen some scorching-hot cameras from Kodak in recent months, the blocky M1073 doesn't quite inspire the same kind of love at first sight. It does have a good 69mm LCD, ...

Pros: Large screen ; USB charger

Cons: No manual control ; frumpy styling

Verdict: Gadgets don't come more anonymous than the Kodak EasyShare M1073. It takes pictures with the minimum of fuss, and not much else. While we have no problem with simple, budget cameras, there's no reason why this can't be achieved with a little ...

      REVIEW-KODAK V1073 camera

Review summary: This is a 10 megapixel compact camera with a 37-111mm zoom lens, branded as Schneider Kreuznach. The lens is optically stabilised and there is the obligatory face detection. Images can be captured in the appropriate resolution and format for high ...

Pros: The picture quality is typically Kodak - bright, slightly over-saturated and over-sharpened. Postcard prints made straight from the camera on the new Kodak ESP5 printer are consistently excellent. And, much to our surprise, we found that pictures ...

Cons: There is a strange effect of noise reduction that shows up in areas of solid colour, such as blue skies. The effect appears as solid blocks of blue of a different tone. Very curious. And the LCD is totally useless as a viewfinder in sunlight. The ...

Verdict: The test camera came without an instruction manual but we had no trouble finding our way around the various functions - the mark of an intuitive piece of equipment. We liked the zappy, Kodak-style images and were impressed with the print quality, even ...
