      Kodak EasyShare Z710 review

      Review summary: The Z710 is amazingly small for an SLR-styled camera but it feels a little cramped, and its design seems a bit too cute to be taken seriously.

      Verdict: We get the impression that the Z710 is pitched more towards casual users than enthusiasts, but its slow performance will please no-one.

      Pros: Nice price, focal range, manual exposure controls

      Cons: Average image quality, small LCD screen, sensitive pop-up flash

      Verdict: Delivering average image quality and performance, the Z710 is nevertheless good value for those seeking enhanced creative features on a budget.

      Pros: Easy to use, image quality at low sensitivity, sharp lens, handling

      Cons: Plastic build, on/off button always activates pop-up flash, poor LCD and EVF, image processing strips detail, barrel distortion, low frame rate movie mode, unresponsive

      Verdict: Kodak's Z650 upgrade, the EasyShare Z710 arrives with an extra million pixels and £50 more on the price tag, but not a lot else
