      Konica Minolta DiMAGE X60

      By Jeff Keller

Review summary: The Konica Minolta DiMAGE X60 ($350) is the latest revision of the DiMAGE X-series of cameras. Like the X50 before it, the X60 features a 5 Megapixel CCD, folding lens technology, point-and-shoot operation, and a fast startup time. Changes since that ...

Pros: Compact metal body ; Decent photo quality... most of the time ; Super fast startup time ; Large 2.5" LCD display (though resolution could be higher) ; Can easily grab frames from movies ; Improved software bundle over previous models

Cons: Blurry edges of photos ; some color weirdness ; Poor low light focusing ; no AF-assist lamp ; Redeye ; Below average battery life ; Battery cover doesn't like to stay closed ; Movie mode is lacking in 2005 ; Could really use USB 2.0 High Speed support ...

Verdict: As you can see, the X60 has some of the worst battery life in its class. I know Minolta knows how to make cameras with good battery life, so the X60's numbers are a little disappointing

Pros: Slim form factor, literally shirt-pocket sized, Internal lens design means no external moving protrusions to damage, Excellent Macro mode, Fast prefocus shutter lag, Produces good prints at most ISOs, Big, beautiful LCD screen, entirely usable in full ...

Cons: Slow AF and shot-to-shot speed, Aggressive noise suppression reduces detail at high ISO, Poor low-light performance, Very weak flash (very common with subcompact cameras), SD card door is a little flimsy, Battery has no retention latch, falls free ...

Verdict: The DiMAGE X60 has a 3.0x, 6.3-18.9mm lens, the equivalent of a 38-114mm lens on a 35mm camera. That's a little less wide and a little more tele than the X50. The autofocus covers a range from 4 inches (10 cm) to infinity. A Super Macro scene mode ...

      By Supreme Software

Review summary: Konica Minolta Dimage X60 Review and Where to Find the Best Prices. Typical pocket sized digital camera. This one has five megapixels and a three times zoom lens.

Pros: Ease of use, Compact shape,

Cons: Lack of depth to the colours,

Verdict: There are many better ultra compact digital cameras than the Konica Minolta X60. Having said that this is the cheapest five megapixel model from the main brands. Worth a look if you do not want to break the bank.
