Konica Minolta DiMage Z20
Review summary: Megapixels: 5, Media Format: Secure Digital, Maximum Resolution: 2560 x 1920 pixels, Type: Enthusiast
Pros: 8X zoom. Very good color matching and dynamic range. Flashy design.
Cons: No image stabilization. Tests revealed some fringing and noise in both flash and daylight shots.
Verdict: Although it's not quite a superzoom, the Konica Minolta DiMage Z20 boasts a good 8X zoom that works well in a variety of conditions. We only wish the picture quality were better.

April 2005
Konica Minolta Dimage Z20
Review summary: Very good pictures, 8x optical zoom, focus to 0.4 inches, and manual controls make the Z20 a good choice for the beginning shutterbug on a budget, especially if your interest lies in macro photography.
Pros: Very good image quality ; 8x optical zoom ; great macro mode ; electronic viewfinder ; live histogram ; fast startup
Cons: Small LCD ; images slightly dark and noisy ; movie mode lacks audio
Verdict: The unusual shape is a bit bulky for a compact (this isn't a pocket camera), but affords a comfortable grip. The 1.5-inch LCD is tiny, but it's bright and sharp, and menus are easy to read and navigate. The electronic viewfinder (EVF) is easier than ...

Digital Cameras - Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z20 Digital Camera Review, Information, Specifications
Review summary: I've been a big fan of Minolta's (now Konica Minolta's) "Z" line of long-zoom digicams since the original Z1. They've consistently offered excellent image quality and exceptional value in the long-zoom arena. Last year's Z10 didn't quite measure up to ...
Pros: Pleasing color, White balance handles incandescent lighting very well, Excellent macro ability, Fast shutter response., Generally good sharpness in corners (slight softness at wide angle), Effective contrast adjustment, Excellent flash range, Good ...
Cons: Somewhat noisy images at high ISO, Pronounced chromatic aberration at telephoto settings, Higher than average barrel, pincushion distortion, Somewhat high contrast, even with low-contrast adjustment, "Plasticky" body feel
Verdict: In addition to its optical zoom, the Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z20 offers a digital zoom up to 4x. (I always remind readers though, that digital zoom inevitably decreases the overall image quality because it simply enlarges the central pixels of the CCD's ...
