      NIKON COOLPIX 5700

      By Stuart Miles

Review summary: 5 megapixel Nikon Compact prosumer with 8x optical zoom

Pros: Expandable outfit, low price, magnesium body, features rich

Cons: Poor auto focus in low light, LCD is unrepresentative of true image quality.

Verdict: The price makes this attractive along with the features. The problem could be down to dilapidated batteries, but approach with caution for shots that really matter.

    Nikon Coolpix 5700

Nikon Coolpix 5700 By Anonymous (02/12/2005)
    • Pros: Nice, robust feel in the hands, great image quality due to a good lens
    • Cons: Digital veiwfinder sometimes difficult

Have used this camera for over a year and still find it excellent. Its not as good as an SLR, but has many similar features and a good range of settings. The build is great and it feels avery tough camera.
It is let down a bit by the digital viewfinder as manual focussing is difficult at times. Read Full Review »
