      Review summary: Boasting a new 12-megapixel resolution CCD and image-stabilized zoom lens, the P5100 is an update to the maker's almost pro-level P5000 compact.

      Pros: Good picture quality ; good colour rendition ; effective image stabilization ; manual exposure control ; small, durable lightweight body

      Cons: Tardy default AF operation ; uninspiring 35-123mm equivalent optical zoom

    Very disappointed

    • Pros: Great looking, well built
    • Cons: Awful noise at 400 ISO

    I have only tested this camera in a store with half a dozen shots on 400 ISO against several others, hoping it was going to perform as well as it looked. It didn't, the picture quality was quite awful. So far behind others that I went back and tried again in case I had made some mistake. Sadly I hadn't. Read Full Review »
