D50 - almost the same specs as D70s... at some discount...

Pros: Easy to use, versatile, vast array of lenses and accessories,
Cons: no depth of field preview, ISO 100 missing

This is my first venture into digital SLR. Yes they're bulky and heavier than point&shoot compacts, but you get a good piece of kit that can handle a lot of versatile shooting situations with ease. If a novice to this type of kit, you may need to study and experiment, but in my view, results are really worth it. Brilliant, vibrant detailed photos, versatile shooting modes - really excellent for an amateur,hobbyist, or someone simply after great results - first time.Very enjoyable camera.
