Olympus Evolt E-510 Review
Review summary: The feature rich Olympus Evolt E-510 is a Four Thirds format, 10 megapixel digital SLR with on-board mechanical image stabilization and Olympus' Supersonic Wave Filter dust reduction system.
Pros: Excellent image quality, fast, very tweakable, good noise management, compact, easy to use, Live View LCD, excellent Dust Reduction system, full manual controls, and dual memory card slots
Cons: Default images are a bit soft, there's slight tendency toward underexposure, and no ability to immediately delete an image
Verdict: If I were buying a mid-level dSLR today I would probably purchase the competitively priced, compact, capable, and responsive Olympus E-510. For casual photographers, Canon Powershot S3/S5 owners, and Panasonic FZ7/FZ8 owners looking to move up to a ...

Olympus E510
Review summary: Olympus may not make the slimmest or sexiest SLRs on the market, but it does manage to pack a lot of photographic oomph into its beefy shooters. And the new 10-megapixel E-510 is no exception. Heir apparent to the E-500, this SLR retains its ...
Pros: Sharp, detailed images. Can use viewfinder or LCD to compose shots. Image stabilization works incredibly well, regardless of lens. Ergonomic case is comfortable to grip. Dual CF and xD slots double on-camera storage. Great wide-angle performance from ...
Cons: Two-finger exposure compensation control requires some co-ordination. Default information display is quite crowded.

Olympus Evolt E-510 First Thoughts Review
Review summary: The diminutive Olympus E-510 looks and feels much like its iconic 35mm OM series predecessors, but the similarities end there. The E510 may be the ultimate bridge camera; an imaging device that almost perfectly spans the gap between prosumer P&S ...

Olympus EVOLT E-510 DSLR

Pros: Easy to use (lots of modes to suit all levels of photographer) ; Excellent image quality ; Excellent battery life (less when using live view) ; Very good Zuiko Digital kit lens ; Very good 2.5" screen, viewable from any angle ; Quick performance, ...
Cons: Images overly soft on default settings (due to noise filter) ; Panorama mode only available with Olympus "Panorama" XD cards

Olympus EVOLT E-510 Digital Camera - Full Review - The Imaging Resource!
Pros: Small and light compared to competing designs ; Excellent lens beats others in its class ; Lens is sharp corner to corner ; Wide range of Four-Thirds optics to choose from ; Image stabilization works well, helps indoors ; Live LCD preview allows shots ...
Cons: Slow startup and shut-down times ; Live View mode is very slow, introducing extreme shutter lag ; Optical viewfinder is small and information is displayed off to the right, rather than beneath the image ; Has trouble focusing in low light ; Manual ...
Verdict: As with the E-410 model it is announced alongside, the Olympus EVOLT E-510 offers rather more "traditional" styling than some of the past EVOLT line, but the two don't share identical bodies. Instead, the E-510 is a few millimeters wider and offers a ...
