      REVIEW-OLYMPUS E-620 DSLR

Review summary: : This 12 megapixel DSLR is the latest iteration of the Olympus Four Thirds system. It has the effective supersonic sensor dust removal system and image stabilisation by sensor shift that we now expect from Olympus. A four stop advantage is claimed ...

Pros: : Olympus kit lenses are a cut above the rest, and the lens supplied with this camera is no exception. Mechanically and optically the Olympus lenses are outstanding. Resolution and contrast are good. And beyond the kit lenses are the Olympus ...

Cons: : Auto white balance is not great. The viewfinder is a little cramped compared with the conventional competition. This is a product of the smaller sensor.

Verdict: : Olympus has worked hard at refining the Four Thirds system. It got off to a good start with the E-1 but then produced a few duds along the way with cameras like the E-300 and E-330, the first attempts to incorporate so-called live view in a DSLR. ...

      Olympus E-620 DSLR

      By Dylan Tweney

Review summary: Camera prices are falling faster than a bowling ball in a black hole. Case in point: the Olympus E-620, an inexpensive digital SLR camera that won't weigh your shoulder down, is easy to use and takes fine pictures in a wide variety of conditions. ...

Pros: Easy to use. Lithe and compact size for a DSLR. Spiffy swivelling LCD screen. Excellent shots in photon-rich environments. Body-based image stabilisation. Easy to configure in both automatic and manual modes

Cons: Poor low-light performance. Noisy images above ISO 1,000. Doesn't shoot video. Plastic body and lens construction feels like it could break if squeezed too hard

      Olympus E-620 Review

      By Cybernium

Review summary: The Olympus E-620 is not just a very good DSLR, it is an excellent value with an outstanding and complete feature set. Image noise is a good as we have seen from Four-Thirds cameras and very close to recent rivals using APS size sensors. This can be ...

Pros: Quite low image noise for Four-Thirds system, Good dynamic range, Reliable auto focus, Fast and responsive, Effective stabilization

Cons: Poor auto-white-balance in artificial light, Very small viewfinder, Complicated menu system,, LCD too reflective, Short battery life

      Olympus E-620 review

      By Sam Kieldsen

Review summary: Using the Four-Thirds lens system, the Olympus E-620 has got to the lightest, most compact mid-range DSLR camera on the market. Okay, so it won't fit in your trouser pocket (unless you're MC Hammer or a circus clown), but in comparison to the ...

      Pros: Super-flexible articulated screen

Cons: Noise in high ISO shots

Verdict: A compact, full-featured DSLR with a palatable price tag and some nifty extras
