      Panasonic DMC-L10

      By Gavin Stoker

Review summary: With camera phones increasingly popular and useful as a means of taking a spur-of-the-moment snap, attention has shifted from digital compacts to their more fully-featured cousins for amateur photographers wanting to get the best quality stills. We ...

Pros: Relatively compact and lightweight yet sturdy, fast operation, good quality lens, winning combination of Olympus, Leica and Panasonic technology

Cons: Panasonic lacks heritage and support of other major players, no status display window on top of the camera

Verdict: The L10 falls between two stools - not quite a semi-professional camera but not an entry-level model either, which means that £900 is still looking expensive, even if the package includes a decent lens.

Review: Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 DSLR camera

      By Chris Coleman

Review summary: Panasonic's new DSLR packs 10-megapixels and an impressive live-view viewfinder, but can it stack up to the heavy hitters?

Pros: Full time live-view. High-quality lens with optical stabilization.

Cons: Subpar image-quality. Not much headroom in RAW captures. Very pricey.

      Panasonic's Lumix DMC-L10; A Versatile 10-Megapixel D-SLR With Live View

      By Peter K. Burian

Review summary: The second D-SLR from Panasonic, this 10-megapixel model is quite different than the original 7-megapixel Lumix DMC-L1. The latter-built like a tank, and still available-is an unusually traditional model in many respects. It resembles a large/heavy ...

Verdict: The 2.5" LCD provides a bright image in playback, too bright in fact. Initially, I assumed that all of my images were overexposed when in fact they were just fine. The penta-mirror viewfinder is a bit small (as with most Four Thirds cameras) but ...

      Review: Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10K

      By Ben Long

Review summary: Panasonic's Lumix DMC-L10K is the company's latest offering for the midrange DSLR market. It's a camera that's slightly smaller than your typical DSLR, and it has a few usability quirks, but it comes with a terrific Leica lens to help the L10K produce ...

Pros: Good overall image quality ; excellent included lens ; lens has built-in image stabilization ; small size ; tilt and swivel LCD screen ; good feature set

Cons: Slow burst speed ; weak viewfinder ; no top-mounted status display ; menus are slow to navigate ; very noisy images shots at ISOs over 400

Verdict: The L10K is available only in a kit with a Leica lens

      Panasonic DMC-L10 review

      By Gavin Stoker

Review summary: The Panasonic DMC-L10 is only Panasonic's second digital SLR to date - its predecessor was the slightly odd, Rangefinder-like L1, always more statement of intent than viable sales proposition.

Verdict: The Panasonic DMC-L10 falls between two stools - not quite a semi-professional camera but not an entry-level model either, which means that £900 is still looking expensive, even if the package includes a decent lens.
