Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7
By Jeff Keller
Review summary: The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 ($399) is the replacement for last year's popular DMC-FZ5. The changes on the FZ7 aren't terribly dramatic, though all are welcome. Here's a detailed comparison between the FZ5 and FZ7, plus the compact DMC-TZ1 and the high ...
Pros: Very good photo quality (though see issues below) ; 12X optical zoom lens ; Optical image stabilization system ; Large 2.5" LCD display is visible in low light (though see issues below) ; AF-assist lamp, good low light focusing ; Superb performance, ...
Cons: Images noisier than they should be, especially at high ISO sensitivities ; Some average redeye ; LCD resolution isn't great ; High sensitivity scene mode does not impress ; Can't remove memory card while camera is on tripod ; Tiny memory card included

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7
By LRY
Verdict: In the good old days you could carry around a gigantic 400mm lens and people thought you were cool. If you tote around such big glass now, you're likely to be considered a low-life paparazzo - plus you'll throw out your back after a day or two.

- Pros: Easy to use for a novice, long battery life, great photos
- Cons: Internal Memory practically non existant
I have been using the Panasonic Lumix DMCFZ7 for over a month now. I am still going thru all the features and functions available on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 but I have found this camera excellent to use.

- Pros: Optical Zoom, Picture Quality, Easy to Hold, Simple Mode, Stabiliser
- Cons: Video Format, Memory Card, No Case,
This is an excellent camera that is very easy to use, even for those of us who have no idea what all the different functions do!
I found Simple Mode to be excellent, you literally just point and click and the camera does the rest with brilliant results. Of course after a while I found myself fiddling with the other options the camera has and after checking the manual I was pulling off some stunni...
