Panasonic DMC-LC5S Digital Camera Camera
By Carla Thornton
Review summary: The Panasonic LC5 is the same camera as the Leica Digilux 1, but at $799, it costs about $100 less and has a more modern exterior. Smaller capacity media and a thinner software bundle may in part account for the LC5's lower price--it comes with a 32MB ...
Verdict: Panasonic provides a much better user's manual for its camera than Leica does for the Digilux 1. Friendlier and easier to follow, the LC5's documentation includes labeled photographs and an index, albeit an anemic one

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC5
By Jeff Keller
Pros: Well designed body, nice fast lens ; Lots of manuals controls ; Robust performance ; Good movie, playback modes ; Included LCD hood a nice touch ; Interesting focus bracketing feature ; Supports for lens, flash accessories

Verdict: Consumers shopping in this price range (above $700) and resolution class are those who want to capture large, high-quality images and world class memories of their family. If the camera fails to focus on the intended subject or the image processing ...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC5
By R BUCKLEY (03/02/2006)
- Pros: Superb Leica Lens
- Cons: In camera charging
Designed more for the traditionalist photographer ,as the camera is the same size as a Rangefinder 35mm .But saying that it gives room for that superb Leica lens and TIFF image capture for virtually lossless capture. The bonus of a hotshoe for a external flashgun and full control over image capture make this a superb camera .But not for the lover of shirtpocket digicams .Everything about this camer...
