      Pentax K10D

      Review summary: With a solid feel, Pentax has got the build spot on

      Pros: Excellent image quality, Good anti-shake, Dual-RAW modes, Useful features

      Cons: Lenses can't match the camera's quality

      Verdict: You can shoot standard Pentax RAW (PEF) files and convert them using the bundled Pentax Photo Laboratory software, or you can shoot Adobe DNG files and open them in many different RAW converters, without having to wait for a camera-specific update

      Pentax K10D DSLR digital camera

      Pros: Good image quality, plenty of detail, excellent range (and some unique to Pentax) of exposure controls, body integral Anti-Shake, anti-dust system, build and environment protection, RAW+JPEG mode, good value for money

      Cons: Slightly soft JPEG images "out of the camera?, slight loss of highlight detail

      Verdict: Pentax's flagship DSLR is pitched squarely at the high-end or advanced amateur user and boasts an excellent specification and unique-to-Pentax technologies
