  1. Quality AT A COST

Sony Cyber-shot DSC P200 By Gary Charman (23/08/2006)
    • Pros: Images, use, styling
    • Cons: NOT sturdy, expensive to repair

I love this digicam, my first. Easy to learn. I take it travel, bush and beach. My philosopy is that quality will cost. Paid a good dollar for this and more than happy BUT just out of warranty and a repair was needed.

I did do my due diligance but wasn't aware of the costliness of repair. A small lens repair requires full replacement of the lens unit! Not good Sony. This is why I would never ... Read Full Review »

  2. A winner in most situations

Sony Cyber-shot DSC P200 By James Ewin (01/06/2006)
    • Pros: Easy to use, good feature set, great battery life
    • Cons: Poor image quality in low light

As a point and click camera the P200 works well and you can get some great results from most situations.

When you get more confident taking shots there are a few manual settings to get better results which I found is good when you want to take low-light shots without the flash - the point where the camera falls short.

I took this camera snowboarding for a week in my pocket and never had a proble... Read Full Review »

  5. excellent all-rounder

Sony Cyber-shot DSC P200 By daz hockey (18/01/2006)
    • Pros: small and easy to carry. feels solid. decent size LCDscreen.
    • Cons: annoying'camera shake' signal on LCD, but looks strange on a tri-pod.

I brought myself a DSC-P200 to take pictures to use for my shops web-site and advertising posters and was surprised by the quality of both camera and images. The Carl Zeiss lens is superb and the program menue is simple to use. I intended to buy a digital SLR for the same job, but am happy to carry on with this camera..(for now anyway!!!)
Recomended for everyday use and for quality results.
