DSC T7

By John Chapman (30/12/2005)
  • Pros: Good quality pics, easy to carry and some good features
  • Cons: Too fiddly and not really robust

I used to have a DSC T1 but this was damaged. So I replaced it with the DSC T7. Whilst the quality of picture-taking and features (eg you can change it from a 5M to 1M pixel camera - good if you need to take a lot of shots) are virtually identical, the DSC T7 is annoyingly fiddly. In an attempt to miniaturise, I think Sony have gone a step too far. I feel the DSC T1 is well proportioned and easier to use. On the upside, the DSC T7 can be carried in your shirt pocket and is the kind of camera you can take anywhere.
