      Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300

      By James Holland

Review summary: The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 takes all of Sony's photography know-how, shoves it in a shiney titanium case, and offers up a compact camera that's so idiot-proof it'd make David Beckham look like David Bailey.

Pros: Incredibly simple operation gives highly impressive results. Jaw-dropping looks

Cons: The 3x zoom can't match the sheer power of the 13MP sensor

Verdict: The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 doesn't just look the part, it takes extremely good photos too!

      Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 digital camera

      By Doug Harman

Review summary: Does this titanium-coated camera impress?

Pros: Features, styling, build, ease of use, handling, low ISO image quality, optical viewfinder

Cons: Small buttons, high ISO image quality, slow image processing and menu navigation

Verdict: The W300 sits atop Sony's "W" series of compact digicams. Image quality, as always with such cameras, is good at lower ISOs, but leaves a lot to be desired as sensitivity rises

Review summary: Does this titanium-coated camera impress?

Pros: Features, styling, build, ease of use, handling, low ISO image quality, optical viewfinder

Cons: Small buttons, high ISO image quality, slow image processing and menu navigation

Verdict: Overall then, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 provides a robust and scratch free snapping environment thanks to its superb build. Handing is on the twee side as the camera controls are small but you do get an optical viewfinder, always a bonus in these ...

      Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300

      By Elias Plastiras

Pros: Small and well built, easy to use, manual aperture and shutter control, good low-light performance

Cons: Slow and imprecise zoom control, sometimes hard to focus, battery life is a little short, manual aperture only has three stops to select from

Verdict: The DSC-W300's pictures are clear, vibrant and free of noise and distortion. It performs well in almost any situation and is well-built to handle the rigours of travel.
