      Sony Alpha A200

      Review summary: Unlike an Alfa Romeo, the Sony A200 is one Alpha that won't leave you cursing from the side of the M25 at rush hour. If you're in the market for a budget digital SLR, then this is probably the place to start.

      Pros: The price. It's amazingly user-friendly too

      Cons: Noise creeping in at 800 ISO

      Verdict: A capable, compact and fully-features SLR that's particularly handy for beginners. Word.

      Sony Alpha 200 Review

      Review summary: 10.2-megapixels for £450 sounds like great value. Sony is certainly hotting up the budget end of the DSLR market with the Alpha 200.

      Pros: Great-looking images, good price, ease of use, decent system to buy into

      Cons: No Live View, menu options restricted, build-quality could be better

      Verdict: The A200 is a great camera for those who haven't invested in a system yet - it's great for photography starters. If the price drops, it will become a very attractive buy.
