      Sony A200

Review summary: The A200 is a good camera, but one that's spoilt by too many rough edges

Pros: Great value for money ; Good LCD display ; Plenty of features

Cons: Feels cheap ; Awkward handling ; Poor quality lens

Verdict: The grip on the right of the camera is only tall enough for about three normal-width fingers, and it does leave your fingernails scraping the lens flange

      Sony Alpha DSLR-A200

      By Matt Galowczynski

Review summary: The 10.2-megapixel Sony Alpha A200 replaces the two-year-old A100 with a number of subtle improvements including a larger LCD screen and increased sensitivity range.

      Sony A200 Review

      Award: Highly Recommended!
      Award: Highly Recommended!

      Award: Highly Recommended!

Review summary: A surprise announcement back at the CES show in January, the A200 is Sony's second entry-level DSLR camera. The Sony A200 follows on from the A100, apparently one of the best-selling DSLR's of 2007, and it also forms the basis for two more advanced ...

Verdict: Viewed in isolation, the A200 is an unremarkable re-working of the A100, with slightly improved auto-focusing, a more Sony-like, refined control layout with less dials and more menu screens, and the same great image quality up to ISO 800. Current A100 ...
