Olympus SP 510

Pros: Great value for money; Portability compared with SLR's
Cons: anti-shake facility is somewhat restictive

Since I purchased this camera I have seen several poor reviews, but I fully agree with the other contributor that in fact it is an excellent buy at the price (which like all digital cameras seems to fall by the day). It has great features, is very versatile and lacks the sheer bulk of a Digital SLR, while at the same time being far easier to handle than the often fiddly pocket digitals now in vogue. With its great telephoto features available, subjects such as bird photography are well within reach, for even the most limited budget. I can not imagine what some of the dissatisfied customers believe that they ought to get for less than £200!
