The jury may still be out on this relatively new camera. Let me tell you what it has done for me. I started out early this year(05)playing around with my daughter's discarded Hewlett Packard camera. At 2 megapixels and virtually no zoom,I decided to try something a little better. You can ask 100 people what camera they reccomend and you'll probably get just that many different answers, so I decided to do my own research. The Kodak came out on top, price wise, weight wise, high zoom and 5 megapixels. I would liked to have had more megapixels, but I guess you can't get everything you want in one camera, but for the money I was willing to spend for my first try at digital photography, I think this one is a good choice. When people see my pictures, they usually say ," These pictures are great. What kind of camera do you have." Never mind the person behind the camera. This camera has made me love photography more than ever. On the down side I hear from a friend of mine that their warranty department pretty much sucks. Just pray you don't have trouble with your camera. Her shutter button tore up while she was at my house taking pictures of my yard. She has had a H--- of a time getting any satisfaction from the warranty department. Much to her dismay, when she contacted Kodak, their response was no better. Seems that if you scratch your camera(and who does'nt at one time or another)it voids your warranty. Just thought people need to know. Vickie Smith
