  1. Stylish yet a little nervey

    • Pros: Value for money, ease of use and great quality
    • Cons: Image stabilsation system needs some work

    I previously was the proud owner of a Canon IXUS 40. While not a powerful camera in today's climate, it sure did held its own. The only reason I upgraded, was due to a poor battery life.
    As I searched around for a new compact camera for my many weekend trips to the continent, I was immediately mezmorised by the look of the IXUS 860 IS.

  2. Canon Ixus 860 IS - great product

    • Pros: small, easy use, great quality, good battery life, uses SDHC,
    • Cons: very wide angle lens, no case included , not cheap, no viewfinder

    I upgraded from an Ixus 40 and so I was already familiar with its use, menus.
    It is a nice upgrade and the shake control appears to be reasonably good in reducing the number of slightly blurred images I get.
    The massive LCD display gets covered in paw prints but that isn't a major issue. Its size prevents an optical viewfinder though which for some may be a problem but I can't say I ever u... Read Full Review »
